2 booths sit in this small category, both filed under patio booths. Booths outside are rare, which is why the choice is short: read each listing, measure the wall or rail the unit will sit against, and confirm the usage line before one is added to a patio plan.

A short shelf, read slowly

There are only two patio booths, and they are priced between $555 and $910. With a list this short, a few minutes with each listing beats any filter. Read the size, the finish and the usage line. One of them is a patio booth unit that measures 48 inches wide, 24 deep and 37 1/2 high. At 24 inches of table edge per guest, that width gives you two places, which is a useful number for a corner or a rail.

Neither listing offers upholstery options, so the surface you see is the surface you order. If you want to choose a cover, the indoor booths shelf has the upholstered range, but those are for the dining room.

Measure the wall, not the unit

A booth needs something behind it. Measure the wall, the railing or the planter it will back onto, then add the table in front. Keep about 36 inches clear for servers to pass, and leave 18 inches or more beyond the table for a guest to slide out. Booths are exempt from the 8-piece minimum, which is handy here: you can order one unit to test a corner before you commit a whole terrace.

Weather, covers and the rest of the patio

Think about rain before you think about color. Two things decide how a booth lives outdoors: where the water goes and where the unit sits when the season ends. A booth against a wall under an awning has a different year from one by an open rail. Read each listing for its usage line; a booth that does not say patio use stays inside. Even one that does will want a cover or a storage room once the weather turns.

Round out the corner with patio tables and patio chairs, and look at the wider outdoor restaurant furniture page for shade and heat. A patio partition can mark where the booth corner ends and the walkway begins.

Delivery to a deck

Booths ship palletized by LTL freight, and each delivery address is quoted separately. Delivery is curbside at a loading dock or a truck's tailgate, so a booth bound for a raised deck needs a liftgate or inside delivery booked up front; drivers don't carry freight upstairs. Save the booth, the table and the layout in Patio plans so that the order and the plan agree.
