Warranty

Warranty terms for patio and dining furniture

In this guide

The first few days after delivery matter most to a warranty claim, so it helps to read the terms before the pallets arrive. We stand behind flaws in the materials or in the making that were already there at delivery. The warranty is limited, goes to the original purchaser only, and assumes the everyday work of a commercial room or a working patio.

Coverage periods by type of piece

Each type of piece carries its own period:

Choices come easier with the piece, the space and the price in front of you at once.
  • Seven years: metal stools and chairs without a swivel
  • Three years: selected wood side chairs and stools
  • One year: wood chairs and stools that have arms, metal chairs and stools that swivel, booths, table bases, and indoor tables with a top that is not solid wood
  • One year: every other wood chair and stool
  • Six months: solid wood tops and all patio chairs, tables and stools

Product pages name the period wherever it is clear.

What falls outside the warranty

Seven things stay outside it:

  • Misuse, or changes made to the piece after it arrived
  • Cleaners that are wrong for the finish
  • Unfinished products, and parts bought separately
  • Solid wood moving, as it naturally does
  • An indoor piece used outside, or a patio piece never rinsed, drained, covered or stored
  • Damage in freight, which goes through the carrier as a claim
  • Normal wear

Patio pieces and the end of the season

Patio chairs, tables and stools sit in the six-month group, and the care habit travels with them. Rinse the pieces, give the water somewhere to go, and either cover them or carry them into storage when the season closes. A patio set that never got that attention falls under the exclusions, and so does an indoor chair that spent a summer on the deck. Before you move anything outside, check that it is listed for patio use; the outdoor furniture category is where those pieces live. The materials page covers care for each finish, and the FAQ answers the everyday questions.

If something is wrong

Look the delivery over the day it arrives. Then, within three days of receipt, write to sales@restaurantfurniture.store with CLAIM as the first word of the subject line, then the project name. Tell us:

  • Which order it came from (the order reference)
  • What is wrong
  • Three kinds of photo: the full item, the flaw close up, and the product labels

Damage in transit is a carrier claim, not a warranty one. The delivery page covers what to write on the bill of lading at the dock.

What we do about it

If a piece qualifies, the fix is ours to choose: repair, replacement or a credit for the price you paid. Say a chair leaves the carton with a weld that has let go: that is a defect. Say a vinyl seat splits after a few years of daily service: that is wear. Say a solid wood top shows a fine crack after a dry stretch indoors: that is wood being wood. Unsure which one you have? Send the photos anyway.

Keep these papers

Keep three things in one folder: the confirmation email, the bill of lading you signed at the dock, and whatever photos you took on delivery day. They show who bought the furniture, when it came and what shape it was in. For an item that is fine but has to go back, the returns page sets out the terms.
