The umbrella goes up, the table shifts, and a guest grabs a glass. These 16 tables have a hole in the top for the pole, and every one is listed for patio use. Square tops make up the whole group. Check what holds the pole down before you check anything else, since the hole only gives it a way through.
A hole lets a pole pass through the top. Whatever keeps that pole standing in a gust has to come from below it, and that is the base, the weight, and the way the umbrella itself is built. Before you add a table to a plan, check the product page for the hole and the support, and if a detail is missing, ask a specialist before you order. The umbrellas and their bases are one shelf over in patio umbrellas.
Bases here are aluminum on 10 tables and steel on six. Look up the weight on each product page. Steel is the heavier metal in general, but the number on the page is the one to use.
An umbrella shades a circle, and the guests sit around the edge of the circle, not in the middle. Picture the pole at the center of a square top, then the chairs pulled out. At 6 PM, where does the edge of the shade fall? If it still leaves a shoulder in the sun, the umbrella is too small for the table or the table is too close to the next one.
Every table in this group lists a square top, with rectangular on 12 and round on one. Tops are listed as aluminum on 12 tables, synthetic teak on six and steel on two. Prices start around $138. A black table set with an umbrella base is $272.
Four of the 16 are sold as sets. A set fixes your choices, so read what it includes, then match it to the umbrella you already own or plan to buy.
Make the umbrella part of closing time. When a gust comes up mid-service, close it, and close it at night even when the sky looks calm. Six of the tables are also listed for indoor use, if a table ever needs to come inside for the winter.
All the same, rinse each table, let it drain and cover it at the end of the season. Patio tables carry a limited warranty of six months, and the warranty page spells it out.
For tables without the hole, try patio tables. If you have a table and need something to stand under it, outdoor table bases is the place, and the umbrella positions can be marked in patio plans.
