The patio comes first

By the first warm Saturday, the patio is the busiest room you have. It is also the hardest on furniture. Sun works on the finish, wind finds the lightest chair, and one rain shower leaves every seat wet before lunch. Brick and cobblestone make a table rock. We know that season well, so every conversation here begins outside.

Then we walk you back indoors. The same store carries over 1,000 products: dining chairs, bar stools, tables, table tops and bases, booths, benches, and accessories. Think of the dining room as the quiet half of the store, the indoor side of the same door.

What goes outside, and what stays in

Here is the plain version. Only pieces listed for patio use belong on a patio, and those are made of aluminum, resin, synthetic teak, or coated steel. A wood-frame chair or an upholstered seat from the dining room will fade, swell, or rust in the weather, and the warranty doesn't cover that. Even patio pieces need looking after: rinse them, let the water run off, and cover them or move them indoors when the season closes.

Outside first:

  • Seating: patio chairs and patio bar stools, in the materials above
  • Tables: patio tables, some with a hole for the umbrella, and bases made for outdoors
  • Shade and shelter: umbrellas, partitions, and heaters

Inside is just as easy to browse. Dining chairs sit beside bar stools, tables, table tops, and booths in the furniture index. A top and a base are separate lines, so match one to the other. On a round table, the base needs to reach out to two thirds of the top's width or more.

Plan each space on its own

Where does the sun sit at 6 PM? Which corner catches the wind? Answer those with a patio plan. Make one for the front sidewalk, another for the back deck, a third for the rooftop. Save pieces to it with their options, counts, and notes, then download the plan sheet and look it over at the host stand.

Next spring, copy the plan and change the numbers. Each plan stays in the browser where you made it, so there's no sign-up. A browser has room for 30 plans. Open the site somewhere else, or clear your cookies, and the plans won't be there; if one matters, download its project sheet. Saved prices aren't locked: the basket recalculates each line from today's catalog.

How an order works

Open a product, choose its options and watch the price follow. That price is the furniture price of exactly what you picked. Freight isn't in it. Put the piece in the basket and send the order with your delivery details. No money changes hands yet, and a person reads every line.

Our reply comes within one business day: the order as confirmed, freight priced for each address you listed, and how to pay. Stock pieces are paid for before they ship. Custom work is different: 40% is due as a deposit, with the remainder settled before delivery. The minimum is eight pieces counting tables and chairs together, mixed however you like; booths don't count toward it. The ordering guide walks through each step.

Delivery and returns in brief

Furniture rides on pallets by LTL freight, to a dock or a tailgate, and your crew unloads and carries it in. You can add a liftgate, delivery inside the door, a restricted site like a school or hospital, or a residential stop. Ask for them when you order, and each costs extra. Expect 14 to 21 business days for stock pieces and as long as about 8 weeks when a piece is custom, plus transit, which is an estimate. The delivery page walks through unloading, so read it before the truck shows up.

Changed your mind? Cancel in writing before an order goes into production or gets packed. Stock pieces can be returned at a 35% restocking fee. A custom piece, once confirmed, is final: no cancelling, no returning. The returns page has the details.

Who we're for

An owner reopening a rooftop in April. A manager whose patio needs eight more chairs. A contractor finishing a terrace for a client. If one of those is you, we can send free samples of upholstery, stains, metal finishes, and table top materials before you commit; request them here. Want a person on the line? Book a callback with a specialist, Monday to Friday, in three windows between 8 AM and 6 PM Central. Opening a season soon? Send us the patio's measurements and your seat count, and we'll start from there.
