About Open Door: patio-first restaurant furniture

In this guide

We start on the patio

Open Door Restaurant Furniture begins at the edge of the patio. We know what 4 PM sun does to a finish, what one gust does to an umbrella, why a table rocks on brick, and what a wet week does to a cushion. We also know where all of it has to go in November.

The store doesn't stop at the door, though. Walk inside and you'll find over 1,000 products: booths and benches, bar stools and chairs, tables with their tops and bases, accessories, and the outdoor range. The dining room is the quiet half of the store, and it gets the same plain care.

Choices come easier with the piece, the space and the price in front of you at once.

Who we write for

You own a restaurant, manage one, run its kitchen, or build its terrace. You're planning a season, a reopening, a new rooftop, or a refit, usually with a deadline close by and a budget that won't stretch. Rarely do you have time to spare.

So we keep things short and specific. Prices show up beside the options that set them. Policies are written out before you order. Pages say what a piece is for, and what it isn't. A piece listed for patio use says so, and so does one that belongs indoors.

How an order is handled

Open a product and choose its options. The price on the page is for that exact version, with freight left out. Save your picks to a patio plan if you want to think it over, or send them straight from the basket.

Sending an order costs you nothing, because the site takes no payment. Someone on our team reads every line, then writes within one business day. The email lays out your order as confirmed, the freight cost to each address you listed, and how to pay. What you do next is up to you.

Straight talk about outdoor use

Weather is hard on furniture, and we say so. The pieces listed for patio use are the ones that go outdoors, and they are made of aluminum, resin, synthetic teak, or coated steel. Leave a wood-framed dining chair, or one with a padded seat, out in the sun and rain, and it fades, swells, or rusts. The warranty doesn't cover damage from that exposure.

Even a patio piece needs something from you: a rinse, drainage, and a cover or a spot in storage once the season ends. Our outdoor furniture pages sort out which pieces are which.

What we put in writing

Before you buy, you can read every rule that touches your order:

  • How freight is priced, delivered, and checked: the delivery page
  • When you can cancel, and what returning stock costs: the returns page
  • What the limited warranty covers and for how long: the warranty

Plans, samples, and a person to call

A patio plan keeps one space apart from the next. Build one for the sidewalk and another for the back deck, add counts and notes, and copy either for next spring. If a finish matters, ask for free samples and look at them in your own light before the order goes in. If a conversation is easier, a specialist can call you back.
